Well I just did.

I picked up these Run Free rear flares. I was going to order the full Run Free kit on Monday... I was leaning to keeping it silver for a bit and then move to the normal off white almond color.

But then I came across this little picture which is basically what mine would look like just mine is not levin. It really does not make me all that pumped like I was wanting... Even though it is awesome. Just not as awesome as I wanted.

When I was 16 it was 1999. I was about as ricer as it gets, I have come to realize not much has changed.... Just I am a little less tacky, maybe? This is a picture of my first car that I put way to much money from cartoys into the stereo and some monster 18" focals... Clear tail lights (before altezzas). indiglo gauges, pretty much the works...

Then I look at some of my recent cars. I really know not much has changed.

Besides the cressida, the Miata might have been the cleanest one -_-

I have been a slut about posting. I have taken on a new position at work so it has been my personal life basically does not happen.

Back on topic. This guy Mike Burns is probably my favorite pro am driver in the U.S. his style of driving is aggressive and not in the way every one says, he actually drives hard like Forest Wang and such. His cars style screams Japan and I am a big fat Japan teamburst fan boy so I love it.

I was at the street spot in AZ when he bought this pinkish car, he picked it up off the guy with quite a few goodies on it already so he had a head start on the next seasons build I believe is what I heard. But the first turn he broke the drive train. I guess the guy he bought it from built it with nice stuff but never drove it hard, it was mainly a "Show" car. Anyways, cops came and it was funny in a sick way cause the cops didnt arrest anyone but they made him push his car off the warehouse property while driving slowly behind him while he pushed. Nice guys.

This is a video about his last season, which I think he won his pro license, if so I predict he blows up the scene like Walker did. If he can make it to all the events.

I don't have much knowledge when it comes to this stuff but I have never seen the drivers head that turns and points in the direction that you drift... The interiors are just nuts. I can dig that.

This was the North West ASB,I took some photos and pretty much struggled the whole time. Out of about 700 photos I came out with only a handful of halfway decent looking pictures, and even those im not happy with.

It was super sunny and it was my first time shooting in full manual mode and I got my ass handed to me. I dont really edit anything. Just turn the brightness down and I might play with the contrast on some. This is pretty much what I got out of the whole event, pretty shitttaaayy.

I did get some video, so I will upload that as well. RAW clips only ;x

I picked up some flares. I really liked how the corolla was looking with the 10j's up front. But after actually going out and seeing how it drives. It is just not possible.

I am not a huge fan of flares but these were 100 bucks and if I wanted to go overs I would have to cut the guards anyways.

Basically I mocked them up, thought they looked decent. Fully installed them and absolutely hate it. I pretty much think it looks retarded. If I put them on the front my 14x9s are so sunk it just looks horrible. Soooo I either get custom lca's and spacers or another pair of wheels and lca's. But for a bit at least I am going to be hating the looks of this thing..

Garage Autohero and new tires

I recently visited autohero. Ray is the only person I have come across that will mount my tires, so in a way he saves me every 2 months.

Someone messaged me and wanted to know how we mounted the 185/60 on the 10j's so I took this little video.

Then I snapped some pictures around the shop this shop has gotten pretty popular on the net so I thought this was kinda cool, even though 30 other people have done it. I made them black and white for no reason really. Just thought they looked cooler. All of these were taken with my 18-55 kit lens so they are pretty rugged.

When you arrive, it is just a Garage door with a small sticker on it. But their is always a collection of something cool outside.

Stepping inside you are bound to find Ray under something. This week was especially busy because of Formula D being in town.

Stepping inside you see this supra that has been in his garage forever. It has the best 2001 Nopi/Hot Import Nights feel to it. At least to me it does. I wouldn't build it that way but it looks the part. Respek. Also this young buck Danny is having a ton of motor work done to his s14. I usually run into him when I stop in, cool dude for sure. We will trade stickers and make some sort of treaty one day.

This SR'd corolla has been in his shop for years as well. I want the overs that are on it, yes I do.

Ray somewhat recently moved into this spot. It has more room than his last place which was one garage bay over...

This is the added area.

This is a shot of the front brakes on the supra. They look like baby crushers... Something that some might think is cool is the car I am looking threw is a pretty poplar car.

So now it is painted with different overs and some new styles.

It has been known in very rare cases America builds a car that actually is on the level of a Japanese style car. Usually we come close but we will just lack on fine touches.

My friend Raymond decided to put him name on that list. Fresh out of paint. He is sporting a nice s14 SR mildly built and all the right goodies. I am sure the internet will blow up once he actually post's pictures.

I found out an old friend now opened his own shop and we have started hanging out again. This is awesome because he lets me use his lift and air tools even his welder. So I took advantage and welded up a new exhaust and beat up the inner guards to get rid of the massive rubbing.

Not to many pictures, but video should be coming sooner than later.

Put the enkies on the cressida while I park the cressida outside and not in the garage and got a flat today.... I hate with a passion changing a tire on the side of the freeway.

I got ride of those pesky bump stops. Pretty disappointed in the rear height. This is with the coils in the rear all the way down. The dragster stance kiiiilllls me. Maybe it is just the rear tire size that is doing it...

Any suggestions will be loved. Shorter springs my only chance?

I would like to be as low as that grey coupe I posted but this would suffice.

In other news one of my Backup cressidas developed a clunking noise in the rear. I jacked it up changed the shock thinking it was just blown. But after realizing the one I took out had nothing wrong I checked around more...

Found this little gem just sitting on the perch.

The other ssr's are bald so I can't use them till I get new rubber. And that muffler goes bye-bye this week.

New fun stuff

So I checked out a couple cars and settled on this guy. The suspension is pretty much complete. The body is kinda rough on the passenger side but it will do the job. First this was making it look not so flamboyant.

This is right after I got it. I took the rear bumper off and started stripping all the stickers the previous owner had.

I then put some mkIs up front and enkies in the rear and lowered it. Spun the collar down about an 35mm. Then the rears hit the bumpstops. I gotta remove those and roll the fenders. It has T3 front and rear coils 8k/9k.

That looks alright, then I put the fronts of the cressida on the rears

Once I cut that bumpstop I will most likely run the collars all the way down, and have to change up the exhaust which is amazing anyways...

Me happy.

Added my own little flair. I have about 45mm more to run the collars down. Should look good then.

Started adding to the interior. Put all my extra goodies in it. Gotta switch this corbeu seat though. I thought it would work annnnd I hate it.

With the s13 gone, I have been wanting something to toss around besides the cressida... 300,000+ miles on the 5m makes me feel like the first event I would do with it, I would not be driving it home.

Soooo I think I am going to buy another corolla. Just do suspension and keep the looks of it simple.

These are pretty much it. Throw my MK1's on the front, use my enkie mesh wheels for the rear or find some rears that are not 10j wide and molest it. I am going to look at a couple this week and see what happens.

I have it... Just a little to the side. Got a flat tire after a lovely night of driving.

I also maxed the rear out. When I have someone in the back now it rubs on every bump. But I am at 60psi with the tires. I think the sidewall can rub away a little more and dropping psi to about 50-55 with both of those things it should fix it.

Next is exhaust, finally putting in the oil cooler and fitting the aero I have had for a couple months.

This car was at a one of our customers lots. It had a receipt in it for $28,000 in aftermarket work.... The interior work was $9,000. I just don't understand how you can spend that kind of money on this kind of stuff. Seems like the interior could be so much better for that amount.

In other news, I bought a big ass mirror... 5'6" long. This was a tosser to get in the cressida.

This was possibly the best forum I had been on when it was "private" the bickering between the guys that lived next to each other, and the brutal honesty was always nice. I have only met a couple of the original guys, ad I can say I would go fishing again with them.

I forgot who took this picture of Vince and I. I have noticed it in other peoples craigslist adds and random blogs before, this was right before I drove to Cali to get together with a few of the Violent Running Tribesmen and trade the coupe for the Lee's Miata.

When I drove to Cali I was pulled over in the desert on HWY 10. The first cop was checking my license out and his partner at the front of the car just said. "Murdock... Nice." In the most monotone serious voice ever. He was refering to the C.Norris mural I have on the hood, the picture I stenciled was from a movie in which Chucky played Murdock. No ticket and I was happy.

That hood in this picture now infests Mr.Wasabi of VRT heritage and mulsane fame. He has beautiful hair that I dream about all the time.

Only two warriors from that lightning tribe have blogs of some sort that I know of. They build cool. They are both famous for many things, ranging from penis shifters to showing you can drive cars hard at a proper height and not cry about it. Check them out at:

about 5 years ago I thought Jap suns on the hood were sooooo awesome I had it in gold... Most likely would not do it again but I thought it was soooo awesome back then. Totally was not ballsy enough to lower the car to, almost ashamed.

While looking at some old pictures on photobucket I found some nerd rage and memories of way to much time wasted.

Cal-Premier playoffs at the end of 1st half, I believe we ended up having to go to OT for this match... We could not hold a site after the bomb planted worth a dookie.

This little number was fun because in 5 rounds I got 22 kills. I most likely was sweating like a pig.

In a different nerd rage, this was maybe the funnest car I have driven evvvveerrr.

Jtp's green fc stolen..... I feel like a unicorn was killed and a undead creature is living off its blood. This car aside from magician jzx & C's garage coupe, is my favorite drift car.

I almost feel like getting a tattoo of a baby's face on my chest and calling it a day.
